A benefit for Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and recent bone marrow transplant recipient Nick Farina is seeking worthy moustaches and the men attached to them to enter as contestants for an "IDOL STYLE" elimination pageant. Borrowing from American Idol, Americas Next Top Model and the like, The Monsieur Moustache Pageant will use multiple rounds, a panel of judges and audience particilpation to determine who will be crowned Monsieur Moustache.

Below are the PAGEANT CATEGORIES & JUDGING CRITERIA:
THE 'STACHE - All contestants
* First Impression: Contestants will have their moment in the spotlight then join other entrants on stage for a group comparison.
* Grooming: This includes neatness, cleanliness, and attention to details.
* Overall Attractiveness: How well does the chosen style work with the face.
* Photogenic Quality: Judges will review a single photo submitted by contestants.
* Online voting score
THE TOTAL PACKAGE - 12 contestants
* Style, imagination, and originality: Judges look for versatility and imagination and a contestant’s ability to convey a "total look."
* Integration: Costumes should complement the moustache style.
* Fashion Sense: Contestants should pick outfits that reflect fashion and taste and demonstrate their ability to use color to enhance their natural coloring, appearance, and appeal.
THE TUG - 9 contestants
* Texture of the hair.
* Length and thickness: The amount of hair that can be grabbed.
* Genuineness: How well the moustache adheres to the face when pulled. Fake moustaches that fall off will be disqualified.
~ INTERMISSION ~
BOXER SHORTS - 6 contestants
* Objectification: How a contestant poses as an objectified male figure.
* Physique: Includes physical fitness and overall body shape.
* Presence: Posture, movement, grace.
TALENT - 4 contestants
* Quality
* Originality
* Creativity
* Successful Execution of attempted talent
SPOKESMODEL/PERSONALITY- 3 contestants
* Conversational ability in varied circumstances, with an emphasis on good diction, grammar, and enunciation.
* Self-confidence, sincerity, and integrity.
* Self-Projection: the ability to project one's personality before a crowd.
* Wit: the ability to think on one’s feet and respond intelligently and with humor.
SURPRISE FINAL ROUND - 2 contestants
* Contestants will not know the content of the final round until it occurs.
